Gage Roads is named after the strip of ocean that separates Rottnest Island and Fremantle in Western Australia. They make a range of ales and lagers, all which of which are inspired by their location on the Western Australia coast.

Samuel Adams Kosmic Mother Funk Grand Cru (Packaged)

This one-of-a-kind Belgian ale is fermented with multiple micro-organisms found in the environment of the 150-year old Boston brewery. The unique yeasts impart layers of spicy, fruity and bright tart notes to the beer. Aged in Hungarian oak tuns, the porous character of the wood allows air to slowly seep in during aging, creating micro-oxidation that smoothes any harsh flavours.

Grand Cru often denotes a vintage of the highest quality or ‘the best of the best’. This release has been aging in the Barrel Room for just over a year. Kosmic Mother Funk is the soul of the Barrel Room Collection, blended to varying degrees creating a distinct and complex character.

From day one, Ballast Point’s philosophy has always been doing what they love, and making what they love to drink.

Soon after the brewery opened, founding brewmaster Pete decided to take his love for brewing into the classroom as a science teacher - inspiring the next generation of homebrewers. He is still an active ambassador for the brand, with a wealth of brewing knowledge to boot.

By 2004, Ballast Point had outgrown its back room location and moved into a larger production brewery in Scripps Ranch. In this location, Ballast Point continues to brew around the clock to meet the growing demand for its beer.

Jayne Lewis and Danielle Allen grew up and met in Perth over 16 years ago, but it took a two-week tour of the West Coast of the United States in 2010, for them to realise how much they had in common.

Jayne and Danielle gave up their full time jobs and the journey began in earnest of June 2011.Their shared love for the finer delights in life saw them visit breweries, wineries and dine at world-renowned restaurants.

During their trip, the West Australians hatched the idea to start their own brewing company and after six months of discussing their dream to own and run their own business, Two Birds Brewing was born.

Founded by Jack Cameron and Red Proudfoot, the pair met while working apprenticeships at MoonDog in Scotland.

Head brewer Jack Cameron explains that the Pirate Life name and brand is less about eye-patches and cutlasses and more a state of mind. “We want to make beer with bravado and unbridled passion,” he said. “Pirate Life means carefree and relaxed but uncompromising about quality and flavour.

Their beers are sold in 355ml and 500ml cans, a point of difference and far from a gimmick. Their experience informed them that this keeps the beer fresher, and of course it’s better for the environment.

In 1995 Moylan's Brewing Co. opened at Rowland Plaza, bringing Novato into the ranks of other world class brew towns like Portland Oregon and Seattle Washington, by claiming the rights to it’s own Microbrewery thanks to bay area native Brendan Moylan.

The co-owner of Marin Brewing Company in Larkspur, Brendan brought more than 28 years of brewing experience to Novato, which began with his first home brewing kit one year after college.

Old Chub Scotch Ale

This jaw-dropping Scottish strong ale is brewed with bodacious amounts of malted barley and specialty grains, and a dash of beechwood-smoked malt. Old Chub features semi-sweet flavors of cocoa and coffee, and a wee-bit of smoke. A head-turning treat for malt heads and folks who think they don't dig dark beer. 8%

In 2002, their little Colorado grown brew-pub started producing pale ale in a can (Dale's Pale Ale). That not only began the craft-beer-in-a-can craze, but has grown to add a brewery to the hills of Pisgah National Forest in Brevard, North Carolina and another in the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas, in 2016.

The first batch is a traditional ‘dark lager’. Using German noble hops, the Schwarzbier has a mild roast character and finishes dry. 4.7%

Located in Byron Bay and established in 2008, Stone & Wood Brewing Company takes a fresh approach to brewing handcrafted beer in the Northern Rivers of NSW, one of the greatest places on Earth. The three boys - Brad, Jamie and Ross had spent many years working in the beer business. The dream was to quit ‘working for the man’, shed the corporate garbage and get back to basics. The laid back vibe of Byron Bay forms the inspiration for their beers.

An IPA with full maltiness moving into a big firm bitterness with lots of pine, resinous characters, grapefruit and sweet marmalade notes. With warming alcohol to finish and a big, lingering bitterness. 7.5%

Mountain Goat started out in Dave Bonighton’s backyard in the early 90′s. 17 years on and Mountain Goat employs 25 full time staff and another 20 casuals. They brew smaller volume beers at their Richmond based microbrewery and bigger batches (including 330ml bottled and 375ml canned beer) at a larger plant in Laverton, Melbourne.

This California Amber takes its inspiration from traditional English ESBs. Four types of malts give it a bold complexity, and a proprietary yeast strain lends it a fruity, madeira-like richness. However, it’s the American hops that give this ale a distinct bite and floral aroma. 5.5%

A rich golden coloured pale ale, dry hopped with Yakima Valley's (Washington State) favourite heavy hitting hop, Simcoe. This hop brings with it big aromatics of pine and citrus followed by a crisp finish. 5.2%

Modus Operandi (Latin for Method of Operation) which put simply is, beer first, with no shortcuts. Fresh live yeast is flown in from the USA, using the finest specialty malts and hops from all over the world, brewed and packaged in their brewery and kept permanently cold, with no preservatives, resulting in fresh real craft beer.

Originally brewed in the back shed of Dan and wife Corrina’s vineyard in McLaren Vale, the aim of Swell Brewing Co. is to share their premium craft beer with others.
